Underwriter Professional Risks

We are currently recruiting for an Underwriter Professional Risks – Allied Health in Chicago, IL. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days in office and 3 days remote and some travel. The ideal candidate will have 2-4+ years of experience underwriting Allied Healthcare and/or Professional Risks driving new business and underwriting complex renewal business within Allied Health. 105K-120K Base based on experience + bonus + full benefits package.Responsibilities:Underwrite, price and negotiate accounts consistent with the quality of the risk for professional risk – Allied HealthDevelop new broker relationships and increase depth of existing broker relationships throughout region to increase productionEngage with the Allied Healthcare team to develop professionallyPlay a key role in executing on regional planServe as relationship manager for several key Allied Healthcare brokers and spearheading broker turnaroundsObtain & maintain underwriting authority in Allied Healthcare practice areaMonitor product results and develop ideas to increase productivity and profitabilityRegional travel required including industry events and broker visitsRequirements:B.A./B.S degree is preferred2-4+ years of experience in Allied Healthcare or Professional Liability coverageCustomer-centric mind-set and passionate about the power of superior customer serviceStrong understanding of sales principles, presentation and negotiation skillsProven track record of understanding and delivering meaningful underwriting profitThe ability to identify business needsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in a collaborative environmentWillingness to develop business, with travel throughout the U.S. up to 25%, requiredNo sponsorship.
