This position will be key in preparing financial information and analysis to support the Commercial leadership team and global corporate initiatives.Job DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTIONThe Director, Commercial Financial Planning and Analysis position is responsible for the presentation and analysis of weekly and monthly performance reporting of our Commercial Organization, coordination and consolidation of monthly forecasts, leading the consolidated target and budget process, and preparing numerous ad hoc analyses related to the company forecast. This position will be key in preparing financial information and analysis to support the Commercial leadership team and global corporate initiatives.What You’ll DoOwn management performance reporting to facilitate reviews with senior leadership including analysis, enhancements and consolidationLead process and preparation of annual target and budget, understanding key drivers and variances to prior yearEnsure timely and accurate reporting with full understanding of variances to prior forecast, annual operating plan and prior year performanceProvide leadership and analytical support on various special projects to enhance the financial decision-making processMaintain strong business relationship with Senior Leadership to support achievement of strategic goalsProvide thought and executional leadership for transformation initiatives, operational improvements and cost reductionsDevelop and produce high quality analytics and presentation materials for Senior Leadership TeamServe as liaison with other finance and business areas such as Accounting, Marketing, Customer Experience, Sales, Revenue Management, and Corporate FP&A to coordinate business and financial initiatives and ensure seamless analysis, forecast, and planning processesProvide thought leadership and change management to direct team and cross-functional teamWhat We’re Looking ForEducationBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related disciplineOther professional certification desirable (CPA, CMA, CFA, etc.)ExperienceProven track record (8 - 10 years) in financial oversight roles within a large organization involved in transportation services and business development at all levels.Extensive experience in all aspects of financial management including financial planning, corporate finance, accounting, and acquisitions/divestitures.Financial leadership role in major U.S. or international public company.Proven experience in managing global closing cycles, monthly forecasts and annual operating planProven ability to effectively lead global processes (Annual Operating Plan) and implement cross-functional projects/reportingAbility to influence cross-functional teams to act and drive change managementStrong executive presence – both written and oralDemonstrated strong analytical skillsProven ability to develop talent and leadersSkillsStrong ability and desire to translate Corporate vision into resultsExceptional financial and business acumenExperience with various analytical methods such as forecasting, variance analysis, NPV/IRR analysis, capital efficiency, etc.Strategic skills required to conceptualize, communicate, and execute weekly, monthly and annual deliverablesLeadership skills to act as a change agent and project management skills to drive process improvementStrong written and oral communicative skills and the ability to operate effectively at all levels within a complex and dynamic organizationFlexible team player able to work to meet deadlinesExcellent attention to detailWillingness to take on additional responsibility and lead organizational changeStrong time management skills and effectively able to prioritize tasks as neededEnjoy a challenging and fast-paced work environmentKnowledge of Hyperion Planning, Oracle ERP, Business Intelligence Tools, database management systems, and ExcelCompetencyStrategic thinking – able to grasp, articulate, and optimize short-term vs. long-term implications and opportunities of decisionsMature ConfidenceExceptional communication skillsInspiring and motivatingResults drivenPlanning and organizingAbility to work constructively under pressureResilient, adaptable, flexibleInnovative and creativeValues diversity and is comfortable in dealing with different culturesWhat You’ll Get40% off any standard Hertz RentalPaid Time OffMedical, Dental & Vision plan optionsRetirement programs, including 401(k) employer matchingPaid Parental Leave & Adoption AssistanceEmployee Assistance Program for employees & familyEducational Reimbursement & DiscountsVoluntary Insurance Programs - Pet, Legal/Identity Theft, Critical IllnessPerks & Discounts –Theme Park Tickets, Gym Discounts & moreAbout UsThe Hertz Corporation operates the Hertz, Dollar Car Rental, Thrifty Car Rental brands in approximately 9,700 corporate and franchisee locations throughout North America, Europe, The Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
