This firm provides comprehensive accounting, tax, audit, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from emerging businesses to established corporations, high-net-worth individuals, and nonprofit organizations.Position OverviewThis leadership role requires a seasoned professional who can manage complex engagements, mentor staff, drive business development, and contribute to the strategic growth of their practice. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, exceptional client relationship skills, and proven leadership capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage complex tax compliance and planning engagements for corporations, partnerships, individuals, and trustsOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting services including financial statement preparation and analysisProvide strategic tax planning and advisory services to optimize clients/' tax positionsResearch complex tax and accounting issues and provide technical guidance to engagement teamsReview and approve tax returns, financial statements, and other deliverables ensuring accuracy and complianceStay current with federal, state, and local tax law changes and accounting standardsSupervise and mentor managers, supervisors, and staff accountants on assigned engagementsConduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for professional developmentParticipate in recruiting efforts including interviewing candidates and campus recruitingLead training initiatives and knowledge-sharing sessions within the tax and accounting departmentsFoster a collaborative team environment that promotes professional growth and excellenceServe as primary point of contact for key client relationshipsIdentify opportunities for additional services and collaborate with partners on business developmentPresent complex tax and accounting concepts to clients in an accessible mannerAddress client concerns promptly and maintain high levels of client satisfactionParticipate in client meetings, including year-end planning sessions and quarterly business reviewsAssist in engagement planning, budgeting, and resource allocationMonitor project progress and profitability while ensuring quality standards are metContribute to practice development initiatives and process improvementsSupport business development efforts through networking and relationship buildingParticipate in firm-wide committees and strategic planning activitiesRequired QualificationsBachelor/'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredMaster/'s degree in Taxation or Accounting preferredCPA license in New York State requiredMinimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in public accountingSubstantial experience with tax compliance and planning for various entity typesStrong background in accounting services including compilations, reviews, and auditsPrevious supervisory and staff development experienceExperience with high-net-worth individuals and complex business structures preferredWhat They OfferCompetitive salary commensurate with experience ($150,000 - $170,000+)Performance-based bonus structureComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) plan with firm matchingProfessional development and continuing education supportFlexible work arrangements and hyrbid scheduleMentorship opportunities and clear advancement pathway to PartnerSupport for additional certifications and advanced degreesConference attendance and industry networking opportunitiesInternal training programs and technical skill development #J-18808-Ljbffr
