Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range$95,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yrDirect message the job poster from Flying Food GroupThe Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for developing accounting policies, ensuring quality financial reporting according to US GAAP, and the preparation of audited consolidated financial statements for the group.Essential FunctionsComplete consolidated financial statements and accompanying notes for the Flying Food group of companies for year-end, period-end and on an ad hoc basis.Create and update accounting policies, for example, related to capital expenditure, leases, revenue recognition, etc.Create technical accounting memos to document technical accounting decisions (e.g. VIE’s) and audit support (i.e. Going Concern memo)Train corporate accounting and controllers on technical accounting topics as neededCoordinate the audit and provide audit support as neededLead Special Projects, including, but not limited to the following:Lease accounting improvement and software setupReview the potential need for the recording of Asset Retirement ObligationsDocument selected accounting processes and financial reporting processes and lead the finance and accounting team through the implementation of improvements.Evaluate financial reporting controls and implement agreed improvementsAd hoc technical research to support the evaluation of new business opportunitiesReview journals and account reconciliationsAssist with other ad hoc tasks and special projects as assigned by the manager.Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, requiredMaster's degree in accounting or a related field, preferred3 to 5 years of experience in public accounting or a financial reporting roleThorough US GAAP knowledgeProficiency in accounting, computing, and data management.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Team player, who is also able to work independentlyAnalytical skillsIntermediate computer skills preferably with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has supervisory responsibilities.This job operates in an office environment and this position will routinely use standard office equipment.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods and reach with hands and arms.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time exempt position.
