Chief Financial Officer

Overview Ascension Search Partners is seeking a high-EQ, people-centric CFO to lead finance and accounting operations for a real estate firm with multi-billions in AUM. This role requires strong technical finance and accounting expertise, coupled with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. You’ll oversee a distributed accounting team, ensuring smooth operations, strong team cohesion, and high performance while expanding the finance function. Responsibilities Lead and elevate the finance and accounting operations for a real estate firm with multibillion-dollar AUM. Oversee a distributed accounting team, ensuring smooth operations, strong cohesion, and high performance while building out the finance function. Manage and strengthen relationships with external stakeholders, including investment partners and lenders. Present financial insights clearly to the CEO and the broader executive team to drive strategic decision-making. Lead with data and empathy in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting CPA 15+ years of progressive experience from accounting through finance Experience working for a private real estate operator Experience in a leadership role managing a small team in a player-coach capacity Proven success in elevating, maintaining, and leveraging corporate-level financial modeling, analysis, and reporting Experience leading and closing JV deals Ability to manage a finance and property accounting team Ability to see the greater strategic picture while drilling down into details when necessary Ability to manage and mitigate financial risk exposure Interest in capital markets High EQ, strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage upward and downward within an organization, business acumen Strong change management experience evaluating people, processes, data, and growth Ability to present effectively to the CEO and Board of Directors using accurate and salient data Experience with systems in the real estate sector Details Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex (Frisco, TX) Salary: $250,000.00-$300,000.00 Job function: Finance and Accounting/Auditing Seniority level: Executive Employment type: Full-time #J-18808-Ljbffr
