Senior Tax Manager with a global leader in the professional services industry.SummaryThe Senior Tax Manager will manage tax processes including but not limited to, federal, state, international, VAT, sales and use, partnership, withholding, and others. This position will evaluate tax laws and recommend acceptable practices to minimize taxes for partners and the Firm.ResponsibilitiesDevelop policies and procedures to comply with tax laws and train other accounting teams as it relates to their functionLead the compliance process for federal and state returns with external accountants including timely delivery of workpapers, review of completed returns, and distribution to our partnersManage international tax items, including foreign returns and distribution to local partners, estimated non-resident foreign tax payments, and VAT complianceManage domestic tax items, including UBT, franchise, MTA, pass-through entity tax, and other city/state jurisdictionsResearch and analyze tax positions. Monitor global tax developments, changes to state taxes, new jurisdiction research, etc.Manage outside consultants as related to domestic and international tax matters to proactively comply with statutory changes, identify and evaluate tax strategiesManage domestic and international tax auditsAssist with budget of firm wide tax expenses, including property, UBT, franchise, etc.Assist in design of processes for OECD Pillar II compliance, IRC987 Branch Reporting, and transfer pricing requirementsLead, develop, and mentor tax team membersOther partnership tax responsibilities as needed, including preparing tax gross up calculations for partners and maintaining repository of composite and withholding tax electionsOther tax responsibilities include review sales and use tax returns, review non-resident and withholding taxes, calculate expat compensations and foreign housing gross up, review and develop transfer pricing process, review property tax returns, review firm contracts for tax implications, manage Georgia retraining tax credit, and prepare foreign tax certificationRequirementsMust be self-driven and committed to delivering high quality product and adviceAble to evaluate tax laws, changes, and trends to identify issues and recommend solutionsAbility to multi-task and complete assignments within required time constraints and deadlinesSuperior client-service skills.
