You should thrive in a fast-pacedenvironment and be ready and eager to bring your special sauce to every project no matter how large or small the challenge.ResponsibilitiesLead creative development for projectsContribute to original designs and conceptsOversee and ensure Brand consistency and quality across all production workEnsure timely and accurate project deliverablesMentor creative team membersCollaborate with designers and project managersRemain current with industry best practices and apply them to the development of creativityArt directs new and production-based projectsFollows projects throughout all stages of projectsInteracts regularly with clients, creative partners, and other team members as needed for the completion of assigned projectsInterprets client ideas and turns them into visual reality at a world-class levelSolves business challenges through smart creative designTakes ownership, leads initiatives, and successfully executes through all stages of project on target, on time, and on budgetEffective communication with peers, senior management, and clients across all topics from business to creativeParticipates in some recruiting and hiring process and is responsible for onboarding and training new employeesPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsEducationMinimum: 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline-related fieldYears Of ExperienceMinimum: 5+ years of relevant experienceSkills And CertificationsAn impressive portfolio of imaginative work showcasing a variety of experienceRetail, agency, or in-house corporate design experience preferredWell-versed in Macintosh platform (OSX) and industry-standard applicationsMust be highly proficient in Adobe CS software and other applicable programsExperience presenting/pitching concepts to internal clients and external customers and sourcing vendorsNew ideas, great design sense, copywriting skills (a plus), and the ability to prepare projects for print are essentialUnderstanding of print production, basic web development, and good user interface conceptsExcellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to build and maintain strong and effective customer and internal relationshipsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to listen for understanding to execute the work according to the customers’ needsExpertise with relevant Adobe Creative Suite applicationsAbility to juggle multiple projects while meeting demanding deadlines, producing high-quality work, and projecting a positive attitudeStrong project management skills, organizational skills, and time-management skillsAdditional InformationRRD's current salary range for this role is $84,100 to $134,600 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
