In this role you will be involved both in new business opportunities as well as servicing existing long standing clients in a compliance/consulting role. You will also be involved in thought leadership opportunities, technology initiatives, as well as developing and mentoring staff.What it Means to Work for EisnerAmper:You will get to be part of one of the largest and fastest growing accounting and advisory firms in the industryYou will have the flexibility to manage your days in support of our commitment to work/life balanceYou will join a culture that has received multiple top “Places to Work” awardsWe believe that great work is accomplished when cultures, ideas and experiences come together to create new solutionsWe understand that embracing our differences is what unites us as a team and strengthens our foundationShowing up authentically is how we, both as professionals and a Firm, find inspiration to do our best workNumerous Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to support our Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I) effortsWhat Work You Will be Responsible For:Building a Financial Services State and Local Tax groupMultistate consulting and compliance services, including: Technical review of partnership and corporate state and local tax returns, with attention to multistate tax issues such as allocation, apportionment, modifications, nexus, unitary filings, and flow-through taxationResidency issuesState tax consulting, including nexus and taxability studiesAudit defenseResearch and writingDue diligenceCoordinating and collaborating with other in-house tax professionals, as well as clientsReviewing and consulting on pass-through entity issues including estimated payment, withholding and composite tax calculations as well as investor packages including state K-1s and grids and related filingsResearching and analyzing state tax legislation and analyzing the impact to clientsAssisting with various tax consulting projects including research and writing projects related to tax planning, restructuring, and accounting for income taxesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent fieldCPA, EA, or JD10 + years of experience in state taxation5+ years of supervisory experiencePreferred/Desired Qualifications:Financial Services and Asset Wealth Management client experience within SALTMaster’s degree in Accounting or equivalent fieldState income tax experienceExperience with state tax planning, tax research, and tax analysisExperience with tiered flow-through entities and investment vehiclesWe strongly believe in the value of diversity and creating supportive, inclusive environments where our colleagues can succeed.
