IEM is looking for a Full time-Junior Analyst who will be a member of a planning team that executes the FEMA six-step planning process to develop deliberate plans that describe and detail a federal concept of operations to respond to and recover from catastrophic disasters.Primary Location:Live in or within a commutable distance to Washington, DC.Work in an Office Environment with a team.Travel Requirements:This position may require travel to complete work assignments or attend meetings.Essential Functions:Provides general assistance and oversight support to the project to include ensuring logistical requirements for meetings and other events are metAssists with research, analysis, and development of recommendationsAssists with information paper, briefing material, and presentation developmentResponsible for the day-to-day management of information and documents, SharePoint sites, shared drives, and/or Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN)Minimum Qualifications:Degree: Bachelor's degree in emergency management or related field.Experience: Five (5) years of related work experiencePreferred Qualifications:FEMA ICS and NIMS course completionDemonstrated experience in support of national-, regional- state-, and/or county-level plan developmentPast experience with the federal interagency planning processPast experience with the military planning system or comparable formal planning systemTS/SCI Clearance (for Washington DC area candidates)Additional Information:Office Locations: Often, these offices are either owned by the client we work with or by IEM.
