Head of Financial Reporting

A business critical role for a leading hedge fund has arisen due to exponential growth.The CFO is looking for an experienced technical reporting hire to take the lead on the preparation of all external financial reports for the hedge fund.The ideal candidate will have started their career in public accounting before moving onto an External Reporting group in a complex financial services business - hedge fund/bank - but our client will consider senior talent from the big four if their focus is with the hedge fund client base.Some of the key responsibilities of the role :Preparation of annual external financial reports for all entitiesEnsure compliance with US GAAP/IFRS and applicable regulatory requirementsInteract with external auditors and regulatory bodiesProvide expert advice on technical accounting and reporting mattersParticipate in the development of accounting policies and proceduresSupport the CFO and other senior executives with financial analysis and strategic initiativesDrive continuous improvement in the financial reporting processRequired Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in accountingCPA certification requiredDeep expertise in U.S. GAAP and proven ability to apply guidance to complex and evolving business scenariosA brilliant team is being built and this is a brilliant time for someone with the right technical expertise to be joining this growing finance function in New York. #J-18808-Ljbffr
