OverviewTemporary Accounts Receivable Representative I - Full-Time - On-Site - Melville, NYMelville, NY - USAPosition Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor or Manager of Revenue Cycle Management, the Accounts Receivable Support / Correspondence Associate is responsible for managing and directing correspondence received within the Regional AR Centralized Business Office.ResponsibilitiesSorts correspondence by queue owner, department and/or practice in the NAPA billing system.Processes return mail, claim correspondence, and management reports, and locates EOBs, as requested. Scans, faxes & uploading docs to appropriate billing system location. Processes outgoing mail to Insurance Payers, as needed.Works with facilities and accesses facility portals or document imaging systems to request Medical Records for Claims.Performs other job-related duties within the job scope as requested by Management.The above statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and should not be considered a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent to the position.EducationPosition Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.ExperienceKnowledge of basic patient accounting processes and healthcare terminology is strongly preferredKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesBasic Microsoft Office experience.
