Senior Revenue Accountant

Location: Hybrid – must be based in (or willing to relocate to) the San Francisco Bay AreaCompensation: $124,000–$139,000 base + equity + benefitsReports to: Senior Manager of Revenue AccountingTeam: Revenue Accounting, within the Finance orgMonth-End Close:Prepare workpapers and flux analyses (P&L and Balance Sheet).Revenue Recognition:Apply ASC 606 to Discord’s SaaS and platform-based revenue models.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work with Revenue Infrastructure, Product, and Engineering to scope accounting needs for new revenue streams.SOX Compliance:Document and test internal controls; support audit requirements.Process Optimization:Identify inefficiencies and recommend automation or improvements in the revenue accounting cycle.Audit & Ad Hoc Support:Serve as a liaison during external audits; assist on special finance projects. Ideal Candidate BackgroundExperience:4+ years in accounting, ideally with Big 4 or public accounting experience.Hands-on exposure to SaaS accounting and ASC 606 revenue treatment.Certifications:CPA preferred, but not strictly required.Tools & Tech:Strong with Excel, Google Sheets, and general ERP/reporting tools.Bonus if you have experience with:OracleLookerAlteryxSQLSoft Skills:Detail-oriented, fast-paced, able to pivot across multiple priorities.Strong written/verbal communication for collaborating across teams.
