Property Senior Controller

These are the four pillars that have made our group among the fastest-growing industrial real estate private equity companies, and one of the 50 largest owners in the U.S.About the RoleAs Faropoint’s Senior Controller, Property Accounting Group, you will be responsible for a portfolio of our industrial properties, developing and growing the property accounting group, leading the financial onboarding & offboarding of our assets, and creating policies and procedures.ResponsibilitiesYardi administration, creating entities, maintaining workflowsOversee accounting supervisor, and 5 senior accountantsOversee and establish month-end closing process including bank reconciliations, supporting all balance sheet accounts, and accruals. Research account activity as neededCompile monthly reporting package and other reporting as required.Assist with recording of property-related transactions such as purchase/sale or refinancing.Assist in due diligence efforts and other projects as neededParticipate in process improvement initiatives that support the growth strategy, strong system of internal controls and operational excellence.Assist with annual budgets, CAM Recs and forecasts.Assist and resolve any consolidation issues with the fund accounting teamAbout You6 + years of relevant property accounting experienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related fieldAdept at Excel formulas including, but not limited to, V-lookups, Pivot tables and sum-ifsAdvanced Yardi knowledge required2-3+ years of managing direct reportsHave strong and proficient technology skills and be able to produce accurate and professional documents.Be able to effectively handle multiple tasks and responsibilities while demonstrating attention to detail and a high level of accuracyBe able to work independently and as part of a teamStrong interpersonal skillsAbout Our BenefitsHealth insurance options including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short-term Disability and Long-term Disability, with majority of premiums covered by Faropoint401(k)Equal Opportunity EmployerFaropoint is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
