You are entrusted to ensure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct restorative nursing procedures, as well as its programs and activitiesDevelop, maintain, and periodically update written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the restorative nursing service departmentEvaluates type of therapy most desirable after consulting with the therapy departmentDetermine the staffing needs for restorative nursing departmentEducates nursing staff in restorative nursingMaintains complete and accurate records of restorative nursing assessments and servicesCoordinators service with the therapy department to provide transitional services to residentsCompiles reports related to restorative therapy and resident safetyRecommend the number and level of nursing personnel to be employedAssist in calculating the number of direct nursing personnel care on duty each shiftDevelop work assignments and schedule duty hours for restorative staffMake daily rounds of the restorative nursing service department to ensure all nursing personnel are performing their work assignmentsSchedule, attend, and participate in nursing service meetingsParticipate in the development and implementation of MDS and care plans, including quarterly reviews as they relate to restorative nursingSupervises employees in restorative nursing department; ensures that employees follow policyDemonstrate a passion for caring as evidenced by interaction with co-workers, residents, families, and visitorsPerform all other duties, as assignedTALENT:Relationship BuildingHave a caring attitude and sincere interest in othersDemonstrate friendliness and enthusiasmBuild relationships with all types of peopleInfluencingCommunicate effectivelyExecutingSelf-directedAbility to organize and prioritizeAbility to exercise judgment and display understandingDetail oriented and follow throughStrategic ThinkingSolve problems effectivelyCreative in coming up with options and varietyCuriosity and desire to learnSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents servedMust be able to relate information concerning a resident’s conditionMust be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilitiesEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Must possess, as a minimum, a Registered Nursing Degree from an accredited college or universityMust have, as a minimum, three (3) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facilityMust have, as a minimum (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practicesMust possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the stateJOB TRAINING:How long it usually takes to completely perform this job when the incumbent has the minimum knowledge, skills, ability, work experience and/or education: up to 6 monthsWORK ENVIRONMENT:Moves intermittently during working hoursIs subject to frequent interruptionsIs involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstancesIs subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, etcWorks beyond normal duty hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessaryIs subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)Is subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., throughout the workday, as well as reactions from dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke, and other air contaminantsIs subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B virusesMay be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicalsPHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facilityMust meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a mental and physical examinationMust possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully metMust be able to push, pull, move, and /or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feetMay be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situationsOther detailsPay Type HourlyApply NowVivage's priority is to promote health, wellness, and personal lifestyle choices throughout our care communities in Colorado and Missouri.NoticeTalentify is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
