Position Title: Vice President Financial Reporting / Regional ControllerReports To: SVP, ControllerPOSITION SUMMARYResponsible for accounting processes, systems and internal controls required for the accurate reporting of CenterPoint's historical cost GAAP and fair value financial results, both internal and external, and responsible for the accounting, systems and relationship for assigned region.RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversees and directs the accurate reporting of financial results, both historical cost GAAP and fair valueManages the joint venture monthly close, reporting and annual audits as needed.Works with Property Accountant on assigned Regional Management Team to assure accurate lease entry, NOI reporting, budgeting and forecastingReviews budget, CAM billings and tax billings, annual operating cost tenant recovery reconciliation, and account reconciliationsDirects the design, development and implementation of accounting, audit, and financial reporting policies, procedures, and administrative practicesCoordinates and supervises interaction with external auditors and the audit processCoordinates the preparation of the annual budget including joint venture budgetsReviews and assesses portfolio performance through meaningful report preparationAssists Company leadership by providing detailed property financial information as questions arisePerforms special projects as requestedOversees preparation of tax returns and tax complianceOversees accounting for all joint venturesManage the Company's compliance with relevant GAAPReview all acquisition and dispositions statementsCompletes work consistent with corporate processes and policiesActs in accordance with the values of the company and complies with all company processes and pletes other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance; and 7-10 years of accounting leadership experience, CPA requiredDeep technical accounting knowledge of both US GAAP and NCREIF reporting standardsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software with particular expertise in ExcelProficient in standard corporate operating systems and softwareBuilds strong working relationships with all key customersAbility to prioritize responsibilities and manage time effectivelyAbility to perform actions and make decisions with a high degree of integrityStrong leadership skills in providing motivation and career direction for team membersExcellent organizational skills and is detail orientedFlexible with respect to work schedule; able to travel when needed.Possesses a strong business acumen with analytical and technical proficiency in all aspects of real estate industry accountingDisplays the self -initiative and dedication necessary for successful work completionADDITIONAL DETAILS:CenterPoint Properties is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer (F/M/Disability/Vet/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity).
