OverviewJoin to apply for the Director, Credit Risk Management role at Webster Bank.ResponsibilitiesCredit Risk Oversight: Assist in the development of the Credit Risk Management Program; execute on an oversight program to ensure compliance with requirements of the Credit Risk Management Program; assist with identifying material Credit risks and develop Key Risk Indicators to monitor the effectiveness of Credit’s Control Environment; collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management to complete recurring risk governance oversight projects, such as annual assessment of compliance with Risk Appetite and Enterprise Risk Assessment.RCSA Execution / Challenge: Coordinate and facilitate risk assessment workshops to identify potential risks and control gaps; analyze risk data to assess likelihood and impact; provide effective challenge around the design and implementation of controls to mitigate Credit Risk that occur outside of Credit; document RSCA processes across Credit Risk to align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices; contribute to a cross-functional group to enhance the bank-wide Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program; work with 1st, 2nd and 3rd lines of defense and act as the main point of contact for RSCA matters.Control Environment: Assist Credit Risk Management leadership in creating a sustainable control environment; execute on a risk-based control testing program to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls that impact Credit risk.Education, Experience And SkillsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science or similar.8+ years of experience in Credit Risk, Loan Review, Risk Management or Audit functions within the banking or financial services industryCPA, CISA, CIA, or other auditing or risk management certification preferredKnowledgeUnderstanding of governance, change management, banking regulations, risk management frameworks and internal control standardsStrong understanding of operational risk management techniques and control assessment methodologiesKnowledge of OCC Heightened Standards and Regulatory Category IV banking requirements preferredUnderstanding of credit underwriting principles and credit policySkillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to plainly describe risk concepts to a variety of audiencesStrategic mindset with strong interpersonal and influencing skillsProven execution and leadership in a dynamic environment with competing prioritiesDetail oriented with strong project management skillsSelf-motivated with minimal oversightCreative problem solving to address stakeholder needsThe estimated base salary range for this position is $110,000 USD to $150,000 USD. Actual salary may vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
