As a member of the Braven at SJSU team you’ll be part of the engine behind our work with our local university partner – developing rising leaders into our national community and managing their experience through the program and working in collaboration with our Director of Program Success to create a Fellow experience that greatly increases their likelihood of graduating college with a strong first job.This role is on the Bay Area regional team and reports directly to the Regional Managing Director of Braven for San Jose State University.What You’ll DoCoordinate Logistics for the Accelerator (50%)Prep for and help execute Learning Lab logisticsDraft weekly Fellow, Leadership Coach and Coaching Partner communicationsManage LC absence management, including serving as an LC substitute as neededAssist with the Flagged Student TrackerSupport the grade auditing processTrack and reconcile Learning Lab attendanceManage the Program operations calendarProvide support for Learning Lab observationAttend program execution-related meetings and trainingsSupport Fellow Events (25%)Provide planning, execution and on-site support for virtual and in-person Fellow recruitment events including but not limited to information sessions, tabling, and relationship-building with recruitment partnersSupport Regional Team Activities (25%)Execute and/or assist with ad-hoc program-related projects and tasksProvide planning, execution and on-site support for partner engagements (ex: HBCU Fellow Capstone, summer engagements with partners, etc.)Support the centralized phone banking processOther duties, as assignedRequirementsMinimum RequirementsBachelor’s DegreeWork Experience: 1 year of administrative experiencePreferred QualificationsExtraordinary organization skills and attention to detailStrong customer service ethic with ability to proactively anticipate questions and concernsStrong critical thinking, written, and interpersonal communication skills necessaryAbility to manage multiple projects concurrently and independentlyProficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), G-Suite (Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Forms, Google Sheets and Gmail)Experience in Salesforce, Canva, Asana, Zoom, ExpensifyDemonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion.Exemplification of Braven’s core values.Experience that has informed your belief in Braven’s mission and have prepared you to work with, or for, Braven’s student Fellow population.Work DemandsAbility to work in-person in San Jose, CA at least 3 days per weekTravel to San Jose State University’s campus when necessary (approximately 1-2 times per month)Ability to work up to one to three evenings per week (Tuesdays, 6-8pm) for the Fall 2025 semester.)Occasional lifting and carrying of office supplies and light packages. This is based on a 50-hour work week at an hourly rate. This is a full-time regular, non-exempt, and benefits eligible position where you will be working at 100% capacity. Braven offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal and external equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity, Braven does not negotiate salary offers; instead each salary offer is determined carefully using external and internal benchmarking.
