OverviewAvenidas is a non-profit organization providing services to Mid-Peninsula older adults and caregivers. Through a wide variety of health, education, recreation, and social service programs, Avenidas supports seniors in maintaining their independence and enhancing their quality of life.The Donor Engagement & Events Manager leads the implementation of Avenidas’ philanthropy strategy, integrating donor events, fundraising campaigns, appeals, grant deliverables, and cross-departmental initiatives. As a key member of the development team, this role partners with the Vice President of Philanthropy (who sets strategy and manages major donors) and provides leadership to the Development Associate (responsible for CRM, data, and acknowledgments). The Manager exercises independent judgment in planning, prioritizing, and executing initiatives that strengthen donor engagement, drive revenue, and enhance community visibility. Evening and weekend hours may be required for events and donor activities.Base pay range$95,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yrEvening and weekend hours may be required for events and donor activities.ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of donor-focused events and conferences, managing logistics, timelines, vendors, budgets, and run-of-show.Direct development timelines for appeals, campaigns, and other fundraising initiatives.Align and guide cross-functional teams (marketing, finance, program) to meet development goals and deadlines.Advise and prepare the CEO, and VP with materials for donor meetings, board reports, and strategy sessions.Manage and negotiate vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with brand standards.Oversee collaboration with the Development Associate to generate mailing lists, verify donor data, and review campaign materials.Lead the execution of multi-channel fundraising appeals and donor communications.Ensure accountability for stewardship plans, tracking donor touchpoints, and ensuring timely and consistent recognition.Maintain the grants calendar, ensuring deliverables are met and priorities are clear.Collaborate on grant prospecting, proposal development, and reporting to funders.Represent Avenidas at community events, networking functions, and meetings.Cultivate partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and government agencies to expand fundraising capacity and visibility.Serve as a senior ambassador for Avenidas, articulating the mission, programs, and impact to diverse audiences.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionGeneral BusinessIndustriesCivic and Social OrganizationsWellness and Fitness ServicesHospitals and Health Care #J-18808-Ljbffr
