Director Application & Product MarketingNovi, Michigan, United States - ams-OSRAM USA Inc.What we expectDescription of the tasks:Lead and manage the Application Engineering and Product Marketing team for the AMEC region (US, Canada, Mexico and South America) to support customer design-in activities across diverse lighting applications such as professional, horticultural, and industrial segments in cooperation with the sales team and partners.Responsibility for upstream marketing and application engineering by identifying customer requirements, competitive, long-term market and technology trends (5+ years horizon), conducting feasibility studies, and contributing to the strategic product roadmap for the region.Develop and execute Go-to-Market strategies (including the launch of new products with technical marketing content) for the region, with a particular focus on new technologies and the Mass Market / Distribution businessBuild and maintain management-level relationships with key customers and distribution partnersResponsibility for achieving sales targets and market share in the AMEC regionDetermination of sales funnel targets and joint implementation with the sales and marketing teamsResponsible for the regional illumination forecast processManaging the internal interfaces to Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain and Quality.Maintain active engagement with industry associations, academic institutions, and standards bodies to stay at the forefront of lighting technology developments.Who we are looking forRequirements:Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field, MS/ MBA preferred10+ years of relevant combined experience in technical and management roles (marketing, engineering) within the opto semiconductor or electronics industryDeep technical understanding of opto-semiconductors and lighting applicationsExperience in semiconductor mass market/distribution managementSelf-driven, leads by example, and fosters a collaborative team environment.Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to influence stakeholdersWillingness to travel in the region with good multicultural understanding30-40% domestic travel, occasional internationalams OSRAM is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
