PMX is at the forefront of the converging marketplace executing data-informed, tech-enabled media to help marketers connect with consumers in a measurable way.OverviewThe Director of Performance Content Strategy is responsible for guiding the Performance Content teams in Publicis and Performance Content COE vision. The Performance Content Strategy Director is accountable for the implementation of Performance Content solutions across Publicis media agencies to ensure seamless delivery of best practice and processes. This role will co-lead the development of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) services and strategy, complimenting relevant SEO practices and adapting them to emerging Generative AI Search platforms. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the new AI Search landscape, embracing change with a positive and innovative mindset. Proven account management and cross-team collaboration skills are essential, along with experience in SEO, AI Search and digital mediaResponsibilitiesPractice Development[MC1] [MC2]Facilitates the best practices development/documentation and strategic processes of Performance Content services, particularly SEO and AI Search, for improving operational efficiencies and strategic excellence within the team and across PublicisUnderstands and explains the features and benefits of all Publicis performance products and servicesSupports agency client counterparts with Performance Content products, with a heavy emphasis on SEO/AI Search, and services to elevate their performance engagementsEvaluates agency’s client service delivery executions and supports the development of each agency’s performance content offering.Leads the development of learning and development programs for Performance Content solutionsSupports Publicis client teams in altering approach or piloting new ways of managing Performance Content solutions.Experience creating and launching new service offerings or products, especially within AI search platforms and the evolving organic search landscapeLead connectivity of our Performance Content talent across agency counterparts and create a culture of comraderyExperience in selling in Performance Content solutions both internally and externally to leadership audiencesClient DeliveryCommunicates with client stakeholders up to C-level in status, reporting and deliverable callsLeads SEO/AI Search organic strategy and deliverable execution as neededManages PCOE direct reports on client delivery for SEO and AI SearchCommunicates client roadblocks and challenges effectively to leadership to resolve and mitigate risk on future projects.Self-manages workload to deliver to clients in a timely mannerDemonstrated ability to successfully lead new business situations and new client on-boardingExperience in renewing client engagements and growing client investments in like or new initiatives and services through innovative and conversion focused project pitchesTeam Leadership & DevelopmentEmbraces and encourages a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosityMotivates, leads, and manages internal teams, working collaboratively to help agency performance content teams drive programs that meet our clients’ performance and business objectivesDrives adoption of stated account management best practices through example setting positive reinforcement and behavioral correctionAssists training, mentoring, developing, and evaluating team membersConducts performance reviews and career path plans for direct reportsQualificationsBachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising preferred7-10 years of account management experience in online advertising, direct marketing, or SEO; client and agency experience preferred4 years of demonstrated success in managing and leading people5-7 [MC1] years of SEO experience, with experience in building and driving execution of performance goaled SEO strategies. Advanced and Modern Content SEO experience required.Possesses an understanding of AI Algorithms and how website content, structure and user experience impact brands’ performance In AI Search Platforms - ideally having run AI Search strategy or tests.Enthusiasm and desire to develop innovative GEO (generative engine optimization) strategies with the understanding that they will evolve and update as the AI Search landscape evolves.Experience in use of SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Web Analytics Platforms and Looker Studio to analyze performance, leading to strategy development and reporting creation. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
