This role involves setting global strategy, operational frameworks, and creative direction for paid, owned, earned, and influencer social media, ensuring consistency and local relevance in partnership with regional marketing leads.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and drive a cohesive global social media strategy aligned with brand, reputation, and commercial goals across regions.Build and lead a high-impact team across time zones, including regional leads, strategists, creators, and influencer specialists.Create scalable content frameworks and governance tegrate social media strategies into global marketing campaigns and product launches.Promote social media’s role within the organization, ensuring stakeholder alignment.Platform Management & InnovationLead global presence on major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, X/Twitter, WeChat, etc.) and emerging regional platforms.Drive innovation in platform use, creative formats, AI workflows, and trend engagement.Establish content best practices, toolkits, and benchmarks.Oversee creator and influencer strategies, partnering with local markets.Measurement & OptimizationDefine KPIs and measurement frameworks.Lead reporting and share insights to improve performance.Manage social listening, trendspotting, and brand health tracking.Address platform-specific risks and crises globally.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with global teams in Brand, Media, Creative, PR, Customer Experience, and Digital.Lead relationships with social media agencies and platform partners.Align messaging with regional teams for local relevance.Act as a thought leader on cultural and platform shifts.Qualifications10+ years in social media/digital marketing, preferably with international experience.Deep understanding of regional content, platform behaviors, and influencer ecosystems.Experience building and scaling global social programs with local execution.Proven leadership of diverse, distributed teams.Expertise in social media tools, governance, campaign design, and analytics.Strong leadership, storytelling, and executive communication skills.Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, or related; advanced degree a plus.Fluent in English; additional languages preferred.Preferred AttributesGlobal mindset, culturally sensitive.Strategic and operational, with vision and execution skills.Collaborative and influential.Creative, data-driven, and performance-oriented.Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.Passionate about culture, technology, and social storytelling.Our culture emphasizes pushing beyond limits with our Outrageously Extraordinary mindset.
