We have built the largest network of connected and controlled EVs in the US and are rapidly expanding into other devices, including smart thermostats, batteries, and more. This role requires an in-depth understanding of the electric utility market and buying economics (including how both regulated and non-regulated utility models work). Demonstrating specific and current domain expertise, which can be leveraged from day one to quickly build a strong pipeline and to meet sales targets, is a must.Responsibilities:Developing a robust multi-million dollar pipeline of new deals, prospects, and partners within an assigned territoryAchieve large sales goals through existing client expansions and net new businessIdentify, reach, and influence key utility decision makers, stakeholders, and industry influencers within your targeted accounts and territoryCollaborate with other members of Optiwatt’s sales, client success, marketing, and product teams to achieve customer objectives and exceed their expectations.Optional: We are open to candidates that can evolve into a sales leadership role after quickly proving themselves as an individual contributor.Skills and experience are necessary, but we hire on value alignment first, so if you feel you would be a good fit with us, still consider applying.Qualifications5+ years of experience selling SaaS, services, or enterprise software, with a track record of exceeding quotas and growing new businessProven ability to build and manage a full sales pipeline, from outreach to close, including proposal writing, pricing, and contract negotiationExperience in early-stage startups or launching new products, with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach to influencing product direction and strategyDeep understanding of utility programs and load management, including managed EV charging, demand response, and the customer energy experienceSkilled in developing and executing strategic go-to-market and account plans while clearly articulating Optiwatt’s unique value propositionComfortable engaging and influencing senior decision-makers and building trusted, long-term client relationshipsWillingness to travel 25%+ for conferences, client meetings, and in-person team meetingsDriven to win, with a passion for growth, impact, and advancing the clean energy transitionDon’t meet every single requirement?
