We are big enough to have the resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact.As the Regional Sales Director, you will drive the day-to-day and long-term business P&L of your region and team, through continuous optimizations and breakthroughs in sales, marketing, analytics, merchandising and product. You will also be an evangelist—internally and externally, selling the vision for Groupon Local in order to strengthen and expand the business. This role will sit on the North America Local Regions Leadership Team and be directly responsible for a team of regional divisional sales managers.Ideal Candidate:Expected to have deep understanding of company and regional financial performance, establishing and communicating your regional strategic priorities, using your expertise of the external competitive landscape to prioritize and time those strategic decisions within your areas. You will develop new ways of conducting operations and create and define solutions that have wider impact than your region, sharing knowledge, lessons learned and best practice with your peers and directs.Key ResponsibilitiesThe business performance of your region against its defined supply input metricsEngagement of the teams (employee feedback scores, attrition rates, resourcing)Establishing a high performance culture with clear development and succession plans in place for the teamLeadership and representation of the teams in cross-functional collaborations that drive and support the key deliverablesContributing to the shaping and delivery of the Sales Operational Plan and OKRsCoaching and mentoring regional divisional sales managers and sales repsEstablishes short- and long-range objectives and criteria for monitoring progress and measuring successUnderstanding the financial expectations of the business to deliver or exceed against agreed targetsDeveloping the sales strategy and tactics for growthDeveloping, sharing and adopting best practice ways of working to maximize business outputs for your regionEnsuring you are meeting or exceeding the input metric benchmarks for your region focused on supply and supply qualitySetting and managing to performance standards and management routines to ensure key business input metrics are being metSetting goals for your region and cross-functional team and regularly reviewing performance and coaching and guiding your team to achieve against those goalsBe the inspirational figurehead for your region - the trusted leader guiding the growth of your region and teamsAs a leader, support in shaping the strategic direction of the sales organization to achieve its vision and contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic and annual business plansExperience7+ years of extensive experience leading Sales Teams and Sales ManagersExperience in leading by influence in matrixed organizationsExperience leading big teams (4-6 direct reports DSM level, ~50 employees in total)Location: Chicago (Hybrid, 3 days in office)Salary: 128000-170000 USD plus 60% OTEBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, EAP, 401(k) Match, ESPP, Life and Disability Insurance, FSAs, and more #J-18808-Ljbffr
