From day one, you’ll be empowered by playing a key role in the requirements gathering, design, build, and testing of the implementation of third-party software products as well as our own custom solution to meet client needs and help you achieve more, confidently.Your day-to-day may include:Serve as the Project Manager on assigned third-party tax software implementations (Vertex, Avalara, Sovos, Thomson Reuters, ADP, Billsoft) and custom software development projectsManage assigned system integration projects that involve major ERP and billing systems, such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, etcRequirements analysis and design for indirect tax software implementationsManage programming for custom system interfaces and modification of preexisting interfacesManage testing and support of assigned system go-live projectsDevelop and deliver key project documentation including requirements documents, design documents, and test plansHelp develop and lead staff to enable them to perform core project activitiesParticipating in Sales meetings and Proposal Development meetingsNetwork and develop key relationships both within Grant Thornton and externallyOther duties as assignedYou have the following technical skills and qualifications:Bachelor's degree in related technical fieldMust have one of the below credentials:Project Management Professional, Six Sigma, Lean or equivalent certificationMaster’s degree in accounting, Tax Business Administration, Finance or Information Systems TaxCertified Member of the Institute for Professionals in TaxationEquivalent accounting certification or law license in home country (e.g., Chartered Accountant)Five years of experience with SAP/Oracle functional and/or technical experienceTwo years of Oracle EBS/ERP Cloud/SAP ABAP Design and Development experienceDeep technical understanding of SAP or Oracle. This includes understanding the customization path in the solutions, the table structures, and the core functional Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay streamsSAP Namespace development a plusExperience writing documentation for ERP implementationsExperience managing and developing team members for these types of implementationsExperience in public accounting is a plusStrong computer skills requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to travel as neededThe base salary range for this position in the firm's Chicago, IL office only is between between $136,000 and $204,000.The base salary range for this position in the firm's Los Angeles, CA, Bellevue, WA and New York, NY office only is between $146,000 to $220,300.The base salary range for this position in the firm's San Francisco and San Jose office only is between $156,400 to $234,600.#HybridAbout UsAt Grant Thornton, we believe in making business more personal and building trust into every result – for our clients and you.
