Overview Join to apply for the Sales Director- North Central role at Graylog, Inc. We are a remote-friendly company with offices in Hamburg, Munich, London, Boulder, and headquarters in Houston, TX. Graylog is recognized for SIEM, DevSecOps, Threat Hunting, Detection, Intelligence, and Response. The Sales Director- North Central will have the opportunity to sell a comprehensive TDIR solution comprising Graylog Operations, Graylog Cloud, Graylog Security, and Graylog API Security, addressing critical issues faced by enterprise IT environments. Our solution is both tactical and strategic, with differentiating features that consolidate tools and save money. You will cover all accounts in the North Central region and leverage the brand name of an open-source software solution embedded in IT systems community. This role reports directly to the AVP of North America Sales in the US. Responsibilities Manage the sales cycle from qualified lead to customer for all opportunities in the assigned territory Identify key accounts, critical contacts, incumbent technology, and the partner with the strongest relationship Establish and build a channel community as a prospecting mechanism Identify current objections (price, product, competition, political factors) up front in the process Breakdown a procurement cycle from start to finish step by step Utilize all systems available to identify contacts, forecasting, pipeline management, and leverage reports to drive business and create quotes Develop a deep understanding of product capabilities and value proposition; implement territory and account management and development; identify accounts with high close potential and forecast time frames to close Prepare standard quotations and proposal information; work with other departments to create and finalize contracts Assume a consultative role in dealing with technical issues; utilize solutions-selling methodology and strategic concepts A little bit about you Thorough experience selling ROI-driven networking/security solutions or enterprise software to C-level decision-makers; experience in Log Management, SIEM, API Security or related security solutions is desirable Ability to navigate large organizations to gain access to C-level executives and earn their trust Track record of closing deals over six figures Pipleline development methodology that’s proven to be successful Experience handling opportunities with a 6–12 month sales cycle Understanding of forecasting accuracy and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Experience selling SaaS solutions to commercial customers in the region Ability to communicate the technical and business value of Graylog solutions to stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication, strategic selling, and territory analysis skills Based in the region, ideally in Chicago, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, or surrounding areas Willingness to travel 25% or as business needs require Why Graylog Opportunity to work with a globally distributed and diverse team Professional and personal growth in a fast-growing environment Latest equipment to help you succeed Monthly allowance to support commuting and home-office setup Equity participation For further information please submit an application and a member of the Graylog People Team will be in touch.
