Cozy yet dynamic, it’s mountain luxury reimagined.OverviewThe Director of Sales is a key leader responsible for driving top-line revenue for the hotel across traditional sales-related segments. This role requires a strategic and results-oriented individual with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the hospitality sales landscape. They will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing the sales team, and building strong relationships withkey clients.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Strategy Development & Execution:Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve hotel revenue goals.Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and trends.Identify and target key accounts and market segments.Create and manage sales plans, budgets, and forecasts.Develop and execute strategies for group bookings, corporate accounts, transient business, and catering sales.Sales Team Leadership & Management:Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team.Set sales goals and expectations for team members.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.Manage sales team activities and travel schedules.Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including meeting planners, corporate travel managers, and other industry professionals.Negotiate contracts and close deals.Provide exceptional customer service to clients.Identify and develop new business opportunities.Market Analysis & Reporting:Monitor market trends and competitive activity.Analyze sales data and identify areas for improvement.Prepare and present regular sales reports to management.Utilize industry data sources (STR, etc.) for data-driven decision making.Sales & Marketing Alignment:Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns that support sales goals.Participate in marketing events and trade shows.Operational Excellence:Ensure efficient and effective daily sales operations.Manage sales resources and budgets effectively.See to it that the department exceeds brand standards and expectations of performanceQualificationsQualificationsExperience: Minimum of 4 years experience in hotel sales leadership requiredEducation: Bachelor’s DegreePreferred Experience:Luxury/Upper Upscale Lifestyle experienceIn-depth knowledge of ski resort marketsExperience with Hilton systems and processesSkills:Strong sales and negotiation skillsExceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skillsProven leadership and team management experienceAbility to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environmentIn-depth knowledge of hospitality industry reporting, regulations, and best practicesTechnical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
