This is a chance to work in a stable industry with less volatility than many other companies, where your leadership and drive will be the key to our continued growth and success.Your opportunity: Director of SalesDirector of Sales - Your Job DutiesYou will manage and grow the entire U.S. sales organization, serving as a trusted partner to the company's President and parent company.Lead and manage the entire U.S. Sales organization, including outside sales executives, account managers, strategic accounts, and inside salesManage and drive sales for a long, complex cycle (18 months to 3-5 years), particularly in the medical and industrial sectorsDesign and implement both short-term and long-term sales strategies to drive growth and market penetrationServe as a key strategic partner to the President of the company, contributing to overall business directionConduct regular reporting and forecasting meetings with company leadership, providing insights into sales performance and market trendsCollaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams in both the U.S. and the parent company in Japan to provide key market feedback and help drive product enhancementsAct as the "quarterback" for key deals, actively guiding and supporting the team to bring opportunities to successful closureCultivate and foster a team culture that emphasizes accountability, ownership, and continuous improvementLead by example with humility, inspiring and motivating the sales organizationTravel up to 50% for client meetings and to company headquarters as neededDirector of Sales - Required Skills, Experience & FitYou have:Proven product expertise in embedded wireless computing and networkingAbility to effectively present and communicate complex technical content to create customized client solutionsDemonstrated success in leading and mentoring a sales organization, particularly within environments characterized by long, technical, and complex sales cyclesSuccessfully collaborated with engineering and product teams to translate client feedback into impactful product enhancementsExtensive experience with sales metrics, reporting, and forecasting methodologiesExperience taking a risk-oriented approach to decision-making, moving quickly from analysis to actionTrack record of successfully executing long-term sales strategiesDirector of Sales - Desired, Not RequiredAn Engineering or Sales Engineering backgroundThe role is based in Santa Ana, CA, or a major market within a two-hour flight of Orange County.Director of Sales – For you:Competitive salary: $180,000 - $200,000, Commensurate with your experience + variable compensationComprehensive Blue Shield benefits with generous company contributionsDental and Vision insurance401k with a 3% employer contributionGenerous paid time off and 10 paid holidaysFlexible Spending Account and Section 125 planGym membership reimbursementCompany-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insuranceTuition Reimbursement eligibilityCompensation:$180,000-$200,000 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr
