Job Description Lead the Marketplace staff in assisting resort guests, members and employees in a fast paced, team oriented selling environment. Understand the sales of products and customer service as it relates to retail sales to drive revenue growth. Manage retail inventories quarterly, insure low levels of loss by managing shipment, back stock and overall retail merchandise. Assist Marketplace Manager in placing monthly ordering of sundries and Grab & Go items. Responsibilities Creates daily check lists and delegates tasks accordingly Follow up on daily projects to ensure follow through Ensure Birch Street orders are placed according to business needs and stocked adequately Ensure retail coverage at key times as business dictates Partner with the Manager to ensure call outs are covered Involved in physical inventories once per quarter or 4 times per year Compile monthly Buyer’s Reports and submit to manager Compile monthly game plans and submit to manager Partner with marketing to ensure social media images and descriptions are submitted on a weekly basis Support Retail team in revenue generating ideas, events and promotions Visual merchandising of all retail items Clear and thorough knowledge of Resort Suite daily reporting responsibilities, how to handle issues with payments and guest accounts, and general POS support for team Ensure that monthly reports are submitted (e.g., safety committee, payroll audit reports, etc.) This brief job profile is to give a general idea of the job and in no way states or implies that these are the only job duties to be performed by the associate in this position. Other duties will be assigned. Qualifications Must have barista experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to work all weekends and all holidays. Must have a valid San Diego County Food Handler's Card and TIPS card upon hire. General knowledge of cash handling and Point of Sale systems.
