DescriptionVanda Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: VNDA) is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of novel therapies to address high unmet medical needs and improve patients' lives. We are seeking a Neuroscience District Sales Manager to join our innovative sales organization and make a difference in patients' lives daily.Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the DSM will lead, coach, and manage a team of 8-10 Neuroscience Account Managers. Responsibilities include driving strategic initiatives and executing strategies within their district, which covers 8-10 territories across VA, WV, MD, DE, and eastern Kentucky. The DSM will collaborate with Sales Leadership, Medical Affairs, and other stakeholders to achieve business results.Education & Experience RequirementsBachelor's Degree; an advanced degree is a plus.10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with at least 4 years in Sales Management preferred.Experience detailing or leading product detailing to psychiatrists and/or primary care physicians in the past five years; experience with atypical antipsychotics is strongly preferred.Specialty experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or related fields is preferred.Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing specialty sales teams.Track record of high sales performance and leadership.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Ability to meet industry credentialing requirements.Strong relationship-building skills.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and business acumen.Reside near a major airport within the district.Flexible and effective in an innovative work environment.Experience working in small companies or start-up environments.Willingness to travel up to 75%.Performance CompetenciesResults-driven with a proven track record of exceeding goals.Excellent management and coaching skills for developing sales teams.Highly clinical, patient-centric, and tactical with strong communication abilities.Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and decision-making skills.Dynamic presenter with effective selling anized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Quick thinker, adaptable to roadblocks.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.The total compensation package includes incentive pay, health insurance, unlimited paid time off, parental leave, 401k matching, a car allowance, and other benefits.We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, considering all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics. #J-18808-Ljbffr
