OverviewDoubletree by Hilton Newark Penn Station is hiring a Director of Sales to lead sales strategy and drive revenue growth. The primary responsibility of the Director of Hotel Sales is to oversee and guide the performance of assigned Sales Managers, ensuring the achievement of team sales goals. In addition to team oversight, the Director carries an individual sales target, leveraging their expertise as a veteran sales professional. This position is tasked with developing and maintaining comprehensive sales plans and strategies aimed at achieving set targets through tailored individual account plans and solutions.ResponsibilitiesGenerates and develops new business to meet specified goalsMaintains and nurtures new and existing client relationshipsManages consistent growth within particular client baseMakes and develops contacts with selected staffing clients and strategic partnersDevelops customer relations including but not limited to sales leads, research, cold calling, qualifying leads, developing leads, and customer serviceMaintains and develops client relations for new and larger established existing customers, assuring all existing customers are contacted regularly to ensure customer satisfaction and develop need-based marketing relationsDevelops and implements a sales action plan with objectives and strategies to increase revenue and aggressively acquire new accountsSeeks and creates opportunities to expand business with current clients’ identifies further business needs and develops and presents solutionsGrows existing accounts and prospective clients to full potential and generates maximum revenue on a long-term basisAttends conventions, conferences, and trade shows as needed; prepares post-event reports and analysisRegularly interacts with executives of major and prospective clientsAnalyzes existing and anticipated client needs and promote company services to fill such requirementsManages the preparation and implementation of sales and business development plans, sales forecasts and strategiesFormulates the overall objectives and strategy to develop a high-value relationship within all targeted areas of the accountsUnderstands prospective client’s culture, product portfolio, competitive position, financial state, investment plan, organization structure and key decision makersFunctions as liaison between client companies and operations staffPerforms other related duties as assigned by managementQualificationsExperience as a Director of Sales or in a senior sales leadership roleHilton experience preferred.Delphi and R&I experience.Proven knowledge and experience in selling upscale, seasonal locationsAbility to create sales results in a complex sales environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven leadership and business acumen skillsWell-developed negotiation, project and account management skillsDemonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organizationAbility to work independently and as a member of various teams and committeesCommitment to excellence and high standardsAbility to work with all levels of managementStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skillsGood judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisionsCreative, flexible, and innovative team playerExcellent problem resolution and consultative sales skillsProven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skillsVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm #J-18808-Ljbffr
