ProBio’s total cell and gene therapy solution covers CMC of plasmid and virus for IND filing as well as clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing.Job ScopeThe job scope is to drive and support sales efforts in a given sales region/territory by implementing the sales/marketing strategies for services and reagents in that region/territory. The Sales Account Manager will use his/her knowledge of science and business including corporate contacts to develop and deliver profitable initiatives and build sales in the assigned region/territory.This role will support the San Francisco Bay Area territory and it is required that the candidate reside within the area.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Sales Account Manager supports the Regional Sales Account Manager (RSAM) to grow and develop GenScript services/products in an assigned sales region/territory. The Sales Account Manager will also work closely with the Technical Account Management (TAM) team, Project Management (PM) team and Marketing team to build the GenScript brand and to meet the team’s objectives (Sales Goals, Profit Goals, and KPIs).Duties IncludeContribute to the development and implementation of Regional sales strategies and tactics for services and products as requiredExplore and develop new markets and new applications for current services/productsWork with the RSAM, technical account managers (TAM) and Director of Sales to develop an action plan designed to secure business in a competitive environmentResponsible to understand basic selling techniques and develop customer needs and requirements by following the sales process to understand the customer’s research applications and matching their needs with GenScript services and productsIntroduce GenScript to new potential markets in Industrial/Academic/Government organizationsBuild and expand a business reference/referral network to help grow and develop new business opportunitiesDistribution Channel management as directed by RSAMDaily Activities IncludeContacting and qualifying Marketing Qualified leads, nurturing and routing them as appropriate to the respective sales managerFollow up on quotes/proposals in order to win sales opportunities by overcoming business and technical objections and to cross-sell and/or up-sell GenScript services/productsFollow up with existing clients to expand our base business by cross-selling and/or up-selling GenScript services/productsGenerate new leads and opportunities by researching businesses via linked-in contacts, company web sites, Google and related directories and websites at universities and businessesMaintain CRM records to assure accuracy of customer account records so they contain correct contact informationOccasional field travel as requiredQualificationsAcademic degree in scientific discipline, preferably Masters level or higher in the life sciencesRelevant Sales experience preferred with a high level of technical and professional expertiseKnowledge of the Biological and CRO market, with emphasis on Molecular Biology and Peptide chemistryStrong written and verbal communication skills are requiredStrong verbal and written command of the English language is mandatory.
