This role will focus on winning new clients in the Municipal and/or DOT Markets and driving growth strategies for the respective office. The ideal candidate will have a passion for business development and a proven track record in the civil engineering consulting industry.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport growth and development of the municipal and/or DOT markets by creating statements of qualifications, proposals, and presentationsConduct contract negotiations and participate in professional organizations, advertising, and conferencesSupport and implement opportunity pursuit/win strategiesIdentify, research, and qualify potential leadsEngage in industry-related events and associations to stay aware of new industry trends and developmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business goalsManage/assist in market research as necessaryOversee all client satisfaction activitiesMaintain business development SOPs, guidelines, strategies, etc., for pursuit and processing of opportunitiesUnderstand RFQ/RFP/RFI criteria and decision/selection processesDevelop strategies for production of submittals and assign/schedule resources as necessary for completionRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) License in MinnesotaExperience and industry-specific knowledge in proposal development and coordination of proposals & presentations while pursuing new businessMinimum five years of experience managing projects and client relationshipsMinimum five years of experience working in the civil engineering consulting industryWhy FothEstablished Reputation: With over 85 years of success, we are proud to be 100% member-owned.Dynamic Culture: Benefit from a values-based, client-centered, and flexible work environment, with ample professional growth opportunities and supportive colleagues, contributing to our impressive 92+% member retention rate.Challenging Projects: Engage in diverse and exciting projects that promote continuous professional growth and development.Join our team and experience the Foth difference!
