OverviewJoin to apply for the Sales Director role at PCS Software Inc.Location: remoteTravel: Yes, as necessary (up to 25%) to visit Houston headquarters, sales and marketing events, sales training events, and customer and sales team member site visitsCompensation: Competitive base salary and commission plan with a total OTE range between $200k to $300k based on years of experience and technical knowledge of the domestic trucking industry and TMS software.Job DescriptionPCS Software, Inc. is hiring a Sales Director to manage a 5-10 person sales team that focuses on a transportation management solution for both carriers and shippers in North America. The Sales Director oversees the activities of sales representatives with an assigned territory or portfolio of customers that conduct remote sales calls and will also meet with customers onsite or at trade shows and events. Must coordinate closely with marketing, enterprise sales, channel sales, account management, and business development teams to gather insights, understand customers/' needs, market conditions, and competitors. Experience training and developing sales team members from the ground up and updating sales strategies is required. Preference is given to candidates with experience in transportation management solution providers and SMB focus with some familiarity selling to enterprise customers.This is a hands-on role with the sales team, including remote and face-to-face interactions. You should be prepared to pivot strategies quickly to meet market needs. Strong negotiation skills are essential as you will work with the PCS Marketing team to analyze data and determine trends. You will provide product information to meet customer needs, support upselling, and achieve sales targets. You will conduct quality controls, performance reviews, QBRs, and coaching to grow and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and enhance team skills. You will use Salesforce and other tools to mine, analyze, and report data to predict trends and to assess KPI-driven investments.You will mentor and train new sales team members about the transportation and logistics lifecycle, trends, and knowledge of transportation management software solutions. Candidates should have previous sales team leadership experience and a track record of achieving targets year over year.
