OverviewRinnai America Corporation is the leader in tankless water heating, a technology that is growing rapidly as businesses and homes convert to an efficient, endless supply of hot water. Rinnai is looking for a Regional Service Manager to develop and manage the field service network in the assigned region and provide technical support for escalated product issues. The role includes regional product training and supporting major product installs to ensure proper sizing and installation.What does a Regional Service Manager do at Rinnai?This position exists to develop and manage Rinnai’s field service network throughout the assigned region and to provide technical support in resolving escalated product issues. The role will provide product training throughout the region and support major product installs, ensuring proper sizing and installation for projects.Territory includes New Haven, Hartford, Providence, Boston, and surrounding areas.Must be able to travel up to 75% within the territory.Other Perks/Benefits: health benefits on day 1, 401k match, company vehicle, Paid Volunteer Community Service Day, and more.What you will do:ResponsibilitiesEstablish an authorized service network within the region for in-home/onsite service of Rinnai products.Negotiate labor rates for authorized service agreements within the region.Monitor service quality and develop improvement programs for underperforming agents.Provide ongoing technical training to Sales Representatives, customers, Installers, and authorized Service agents.Address and resolve escalated field product performance issues.Support major commercial product install projects, ensuring proper sizing and installation.Provide developmental support to Rinnai’s Regional Service managers and off-site Technical Specialists in North America.Serve as liaison between the field and Engineering to identify performance or quality terface with local code officials to address code issues.Represent Rinnai on off-site visits and liability investigations as required.Maintain company tools, equipment and property; ensure compliance with laws and company policies.REQUIREMENTS:KNOWLEDGEBachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in electrical, electronics, plumbing, hydronics, or boiler systems. Engineering degree preferred.Plumbing/HVAC/Electrical or Gas License required.Minimum 5 years troubleshooting experience with residential/commercial gas water heaters and boiler systems.Previous experience in training/teaching.Minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing a territory preferred.SKILLSExcellent written and verbal communication; able to present to groups.Self-starter capable of working independently or in a team.Ability to multitask; strong technical and analytical skills.Ability to work with various levels of customers and teams.Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and web-based tools; customer/quality discipline.ABILITIESAbility to lift up to 75 lbs.Travel up to 75% and submit expenses weekly.Safely operate company-provided tools, equipment and property.Professional approach; confident in dealing with mitment to achieving business goals; strong technical/customer service orientation.High integrity; team player with ability to work independently.Physical and Working ConditionsPhysical Activities: Ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles; move in varied positions; work in tight/ confined spaces; operate tools; occasional heavy lifting up to 75 lbs; communicate with others to exchange information; travel between sites.Environmental Conditions: Occasionally exposed to temperature variations, outdoor elements, noise, hazardous conditions, poor ventilation; no adverse environmental conditions expected.Physical Demands: Regular sedentary work; occasional lifting of objects up to 20-50 lbs depending on task.Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription; Flexible Spending Account options; Paid Time Off, Floating Holidays, Paid Holidays; 401(k) with company match; life insurance; disability; professional development; tuition reimbursement; Paid Volunteer Day; and more.Rinnai America Corporation is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusion and diversity.
