Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.We are seeking a Senior MechanicalEngineer to work with our Engineering team. This position manages facility and manufacturing improvement projects, develops plans, and produces project budgets including ROI calculations. This person supports the maintenance department in troubleshooting building and equipment repairs; conducts testing of new equipment, as well as making modifications to existing processes and equipment. This role works in conjunction with operations management in making modifications to processes and equipment work instructions, along with training other employees.As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:Testing and developing new equipmentImproving/refining existing equipmentUsing Project Management to incorporate design and budgets for projectsMaintaining a physical and direct functional and supportive role with multiple facility Maintenance and Manufacturing groupsAssisting INX plant maintenance with advanced troubleshootingProviding floor support to troubleshoot process problems using continuous improvement and root cause analysis techniquesEnsuring that products and systems comply with applicable codesReporting routine activities on a monthly basis, keeping relevant staff members up-to-date more frequently on rapidly moving projectsInitiating or supplying documentation for capital projects using TPM tools used within the EEM pillar and the six-step management methodologySupporting all new equipment and processes with in-house training classes, as determined by the department’s and the company’s needsQualificationsTo perform your job as expected, you will be required to:Have a BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related degreeHave at least 10 years of related industry experience in chemical or process manufacturing industriesBe proficient in creating and reading electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings using AutocadPerform advanced troubleshooting of mechanical/motion/hydraulic systems and solve other problems as encountered. Have basic troubleshooting knowledge of electrical systemsUnderstandthe basic use of instrumentation devices, programmable controllers and their associated roles with system operationAssist in the trouble shooting of instrumentation devices and PLC's and be able to help identify the source of the problemHave the ability to travel up to 25%, as neededIn addition to these qualifications, we willconsider it a plus if you have:Experience in 3D modeling AKA Solidworks, Fusion 360, Navis WorksChemical manufacturing background preferredAdditional InformationWe offer a competitive salary with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, pet insurance, HSA and FSA, 401(k), and more.
