We value safety, innovation, and collaboration, and are dedicated to excellence.OverviewE2 is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our team in Southern California (remote work available). The role involves supporting major electric utility clients and preparing Transmission and Distribution Line projects using PLS-CADD software. The engineer will report to the Transmission Engineering Manager.ResponsibilitiesLead transmission design efforts for projects ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV.Develop routing and design of transmission/distribution lines using Power Line Systems (PLS) software, PLS-CADD.Model existing lines and poles with PLS-CADD and PLS-Pole.Assign tasks and guide junior team members; oversee quality control reviews.Manage multiple projects within budget and schedule constraints.Develop and complete construction packages for transmission lines.Coordinate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.Perform self-checks to ensure work quality.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.6+ years of experience in transmission design or similar, with utility or consulting firm.Strong knowledge of electrical transmission systems (69kV-500kV).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.Excellent communication skills.Preferred:PE registration or ability to obtain it.Experience working directly with electric utilities or consulting firms in design and team leadership.BenefitsWe offer health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with employer match, and paid time off.Wage DataSalary range: $130,000 - $160,000, based on experience and qualifications.Work Environment & Physical DemandsThis role operates in an office environment with standard equipment.
