Senior Automation Engineer

Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range$110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr*THIS IS NOT A SOFTWARE ENGINEERING ROLE*Job Responsibilities:Partner with stakeholders, scientists, customers, & commercial teamsUnderstand & optimize MolBio processes – Design & enhance automation solutionsCollect & analyze data from automation platforms to gain insightsApply statistical tools & methods to validate process consistency, reproducibility, and robustnessAct as a liaison between technical teams & non-technical stakeholdersEnsure that automation solutions are in line with team/organizational objectivesSupport the development of processes from lab to productionRegularly review automated processes, consider feedback from users, & implement solutions/improvementsMaintain detailed documentation of gathered requirements, process characterization results, optimization steps, & final optimized processesPartner with vendors to ensure solutions meet the necessary requirementsOther duties as assignedJob Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences or similar5+ years of experience in automating MolBio workflowsProven experience in requirements gatheringStrong experience with automation platforms (e.g. Beckman i-Series, Echo acoustic liquid handlers, Tecan Fluent and Hamilton Microlab systems)Experience with assay workstations (e.g. Cobots, thermal storage, and thermal cyclers)Strong programming & automation software skillsProficiency in reading & interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, & technical docsStrong background in process characterization & optimization best practicesProven technical project management skillsFamiliarity with DoE principlesKnowledge of QbD & PAT principlesFamiliarity with statistical tools & methods (e.g. JMP)Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering, Information Technology, and ManufacturingIndustriesBiotechnology Research, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, and Medical Equipment ManufacturingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at RedBrick Staffing by 2xBenefitsMedical insuranceVision insurance401(k) #J-18808-Ljbffr
