The ideal candidate will be dynamic, hungry and technical, exhibiting the ability to hunt and drive new opportunities. The candidate will be required to identify and review engineering specifications, coordinate and propose product solutions, negotiate sales and service contracts while interfacing with OEM/Military/Government customers.This role is a hunter role and being customer centric and service minded is key. We want someone with a passion for understanding our customers’ business initiatives and servicing those needs with the various embedded solutions Advantech offers. The ideal individual will be able to understand, find a match for and articulate Advantech’s core competencies and value proposition to key OEM clients. A successful Vertical Key Account Manager will have the ability to sell at the VP/C-Level across all disciplines with focus on Engineering, Product & Operations.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping new businessInterfacing with channel partners and key account contactsGrowing the target account base year over yearMeeting or exceeding set quotasPreparation and delivery of OEM proposals within prospective accountsSeek out new OEM/Military/Government accounts through prospecting and customer visitsCreate a target list of accounts for rugged embedded productsPromote Advantech rugged products and participate in tradeshows to generate new leadsStrategically position Advantech’s value proposition to key accountsServe as a strategic business resource to the OEMsNegotiate various types of contractsManage daily sales operations and working with cross functional teamsQualificationsPrior Pre or Post sales experience with Military/government customersExcellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong understanding of the technical requirements in computer hardware and embedded electronicsExperience selling into OEMs, End Users, Integrators, ResellersSuccessful candidate should have 3-5 years' sales experience with embedded and computer system level products, military/government market preferredSelf-starter, team player, positive attitude who can work independently without constant supervisionUnderstanding of embedded systems, industrial PC (hardware and software) is a plusBachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer or Business preferredBenefitsCompetitive salary dependent on experience (DOE)Winning culture with a friendly, team-oriented environment!Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, and life insuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)401(k) with company matchEducation & personal development reimbursement programGenerous vacation and paid holidays packageCompany events, lunches, and tripsReferral BonusAbout AdvantechFounded in 1983, Advantech is a leader in providing trusted innovative embedded and automation products and solutions.
