JMT is currently ranked #61 on Engineering News-Record’s list of the Top 500 Design Firms.JMT's Florida Construction Management Team is seeking a CEI Senior Project Engineer to be responsible for managing Construction Inspection business in the assigned region.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for marketing and business development for transportation construction projects within the central region of FloridaManages contracts, including invoicing and financial management, as well as project management and overall project performanceResponsible for project QA/QC in the assigned regionManage internal JMT staff and subconsultantsParticipate in client presentationsMaintains and builds client relationshipsPrepare technical and price proposalsHires, trains, develops, and conducts performance reviews for staffNonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesAssists design disciplines with constructability questions/issuesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired SkillsMust successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screeningRequired ExperienceSix (6) years of engineering experienceTwo (2) of those years involved in relevant transportation projectsException: Five (5) years for Complex Category 2 (CC2) and PTS bridge structuresA Master's Degree in Engineering may be substituted for one (1) year engineering experience.Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of FloridaAbility to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another stateQualifications / CertificationsFDOT Advanced MOTCTQP Quality Control Manager (Attend and pass the examination)To be achieved by Project NTP, if CEI Project Administrator/ Project Engineer holds qualification at time of proposalAbilities / ResponsibilitiesAbility to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)Directing a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programPlanning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff membersDeveloping and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and proceduresReviewing programs for conformance with Department standardsWorking ConditionsWork is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.Field work is required on occasions where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
