Join us.About the Team:The Propulsion team at Relativity is focused on developing and delivering highly performant and manufacturableengines for Terran R. Engineers are responsible for the entire lifecycle of their parts, from initial design throughproduction to qualification and flight. The team fosters a culture of bottoms-up decision-making, free fromtechnical gatekeeping, where ownership and accountability are key at all levels. But designing engines with aquarter million pounds of thrust is just the beginning. As the flight configuration enters qualification, the team isnow exploring modifications for future engines, including thrust upgrades, new cycles, and design for massproduction.About the Role:Oversees cold spray daily operationsAnalyze and improve existing cold spray processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and repeatabilityDesign and implement robust process controls to ensure consistent production qualityEvaluate and integrate new equipment or technologies to support production repeatability and qualityDevelop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cold spray operationsPartner with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality, and production, to ensure alignment on goalsAbout You:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Material Science5+ years of experience with cold spray technology, thermal spray, or similar coating/deposition processesExperience applying knowledge of material behavior, powder metallurgy, and coating systemsExperience with manufacturing scale-up principles, including Lean and Six Sigma methodologiesExperience using analytical tools for process evaluation and improvementNice to haves but not required: Advanced degree in Materials Science or EngineeringHands-on experience with cold spray system operation and troubleshootingKnowledge of CAD software and process simulation tools/Hands-on approach to problem-solving and ability to work in a dynamic team environmentPassion for cold spray production for Aerospace/Space applications.At Relativity Space, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices.
