Control Engineer

They are seeking a high-performing Controls Engineer to join their dynamic team in Chicago.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and Optimize Processes – Design, implement, and improve automated manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and ensure consistent production quality.Program, Maintain, and Troubleshoot Equipment – Write, test, and update PLC, HMI, and robotics programming; maintain control systems; and resolve technical issues to minimize disruptions in plant operations.Design and Integrate Electronic Controls – Engineer and implement electronic control systems for new and existing machinery, ensuring seamless integration with plant equipment and production lines.Drive Plant Improvements and Compliance – Lead initiatives to upgrade manufacturing systems, improve plant performance, and ensure all equipment and processes meet regulatory and safety standards.Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration – Negotiate with vendors and contractors for control system components, manage technical specifications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective and reliable solutions.Qualifications2 years of college education1+ years of relevant experienceExperience with: PLC programming, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Industrial Controls, AutoCad, Safety, and ARC Flash20%+ travel as requiredCareer opportunities for growth and developmentCompetitive salary based on experienceAnnual bonus based on performanceHealth care & benefits packageIf you're an experienced Controls Engineer, we invite you to apply and be part of shaping the future of the automotive industry.By applying, you give your consent to be submitted to our client for this opportunity.
