Mechanical Design Engineer, Sensor CleaningJoin to apply for the Mechanical Design Engineer, Sensor Cleaning role at Tesla.OverviewThe Tesla Camera Team designs and integrates camera modules and cleaning solutions across all Tesla vehicle platforms. The team combines mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and manufacturing engineering disciplines in a collaborative environment. We seek talented Mechanical Design Engineers to help realize this vision, emphasizing creative problem-solving and technical rigor.ResponsibilitiesSupport the integration and performance of sensor cleaning systems for cameras on autonomous and electric vehicles.Design and validate cleaning components (nozzles, air jets, wipers) for ADAS sensors and develop innovative mechanisms to meet Autopilot requirements.Collaborate with Autopilot, electrical, and body engineering teams.Develop system-level integration with sensor housings, create specifications, and design accelerated test plans for product vestigate and validate cleaning technologies on fleet vehicles.Fabricate prototypes, iterate designs, and advance concepts to volume production.Manage suppliers to ensure project execution according to specifications and timelines.QualificationsAt least 3 years of experience in automotive ADAS or cleaning system development.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related fields.Hands-on experience with prototyping and validating automotive cleaning technologies.Ability to present, document, and educate others about cleaning performance, integration, and serviceability.Proficiency in 3D modeling software (preferably CATIA).Experience with engineering drawings and tolerance analysis (GD&T is a plus).Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.BenefitsAs a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for benefits from day 1, including:Medical, dental, and vision plans with options that may have no payroll deductions.Family-building, fertility, adoption, and surrogacy pany-paid HSA contributions, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) with employer match, employee stock purchase plans, and surance coverage including life, AD&D, disability.Employee assistance, paid time off, holidays, childcare support, and voluntary benefits.Additional programs like Tesla Babies, commuter benefits, employee discounts, and perks.Expected compensation ranges from $106,400 to $256,200 annually, plus stock awards and benefits.
