We are seeking a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to join the company in the development of strategic space and weather systems.Basic Qualifications and Required SkillsBachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 10 years of experience working in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in mixed-signal and analog circuit analysis and designAbility to solve problems at circuit and system levelsProven experience completing mixed-signal and analog designs, using ICs such as Op-Amps, ADC, DAC, LDO, switching regulators, motor driver, etc.Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to provide and receive constructive criticismDemonstrated ability to execute large group and customer presentationsAbility to lead major problem resolution efforts and support regaining or attaining customer partner statusAbility to work and collaborate effectively in a team as well as independentlyAction-oriented and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasmDesired Skills and Experience15+ years of experience working in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in analog circuit designProficient in the design and analysis of electronics for space applicationsHands-on experience in EO/IR technology and cryogenic systemsSkilled in the design and troubleshooting of high-speed video applicationsFamiliarity with DoD, NASA, and relevant industry standardsCurrent Secret or Top Secret (TS) clearanceJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for the definition, architecture, design, implementation, and integration of mixed signal and/or analog circuits in high-reliability electronicsDevelop low noise analog circuits and quiet power supplies for imaging sensorsSchematic capture and supervise PCB layout (preferably Cadence Allegro)Circuit level and board level simulations to verify functionality and performance goalsHardware debugging and integration using standard test equipment including oscilloscope, power supply, multi-meter, etc.Create documentation such as board specifications, user guides, test reports, and design review presentationsProvide regular reporting of progress and statusResponsible for completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirementsSpecify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and servicesSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationAttend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetingsMentor and coach less-experienced engineersWorking ConditionsNormal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work and local travel.U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.The expected pay scale for this position is $142,230/year - $220,813/year. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
