The candidate will have experience in one or more of the following subject matters: earthwork, site layout design, and stormwater management.This is not a 100% remote position, in-person time at our New York City office will be required.Responsibilities:Perform site layout design, topographic grading, utility design, and stormwater management in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines and regulationsCoordinate with city and state agencies for permits and approvalsDevelop technical memorandums, contract drawings and specificationsManaging tasks and mentoring junior staffReview of contractor submittals and RFI'sWork on a variety of office and field assignmentsEnsure quality assurance and quality control procedures are followedQualifications:BS in Civil Engineering, MS preferred.Experience withsite planning, grading, and drainagestormwater managementutility designdesign reviews to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirementsStrong experience with conducting hydrological and hydraulic analysisWorking knowledge of permit and approval processes with NYC DEP, NYS DOT, LIRR, NYC DDC, NYS DEC, USACE is preferredExcellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similarKnowledge of ArcGIS is preferredAbility to manage a number of concurrent assignments and priorities and supervise junior staff on project tasks.Strong analytical and technical communication skills.Professional Engineering registration in New York State or the ability to obtain one within 1 year.ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?If you feel that you would be right for this position, please fill out our initial 3-minute, mobile-friendly application so that we can review your information.
