The preferred location is our Boston, MA office, but flexibility to work from our Taunton, MA or Westfield, MA offices is available. Support project managers across all phases of transit design projects, including research, field work, data analysis, drafting, and developing solutions to improve and expand bus transit systems.ResponsibilitiesAssist with planning, analysis, alternatives evaluation, and design work under supervision.Conduct field work such as photography, sketches, counts, and measurements.Help prepare reports, specifications, schedules, environmental studies, cost estimates, permits, proposals, and designs.Apply standard techniques and adapt procedures to complete project tasks.Monitor project budgets, timelines, and milestones.Provide technical guidance to junior staff and peers.Engage with clients and communicate project updates.Manage project data and documentation.Participate in meetings, presentations, and public hearings.Maintain organized project files.QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineering with transportation focus.Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation planning and engineering.EIT certification required; PE preferred.Experience with multimodal transportation, transit, bicycle, and pedestrian facilities.Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation, Microsoft Office, and relevant software like ArcGIS and Adobe Creative Suite.Knowledge of transit design guidelines and standards.Valid driver's license.BenefitsComprehensive health insurance, 401(k) with match, paid time off, professional development, bonuses, and wellness programs.Physical Demands & EnvironmentPrimarily office environment with occasional fieldwork.Use of standard office equipment.Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.Job DetailsMid-Senior levelFull-timeEngineering and ITBowman is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
