We are industry-leading experts who foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment.A Day in the Life of a Senior Multimodal EngineerYou will brainstorm creative solutions for challenging projects, lead and mentor an interdisciplinary team, and deliver multimodal transportation and Complete Streets design from concept to construction. You will work on a range of projects, from urban roadway reconstructions and streetscapes to trails in suburban and rural areas, highlighting and enhancing the natural environment. Projects may include feasibility studies for multimodal corridors and intersections, concept and final design plans region-wide, and construction documents to support implementation. You will share knowledge with staff and clients, apply state-of-the-art approaches for sustainable multimodal networks, and mentor colleagues to ensure high-quality results.You will also lead many Northeast design projects with attention to scope, schedule, budget, client satisfaction, and team morale. You will help lead business development efforts for the Boston office and the Northeastern region. You will work with a close-knit team passionate about the work and the communities served.Salary We are targeting a salary range of $130,000-$150,000 for this position. Candidates with more years of experience or exceptional qualifications may fall into a different pay range.Work ScheduleThis full-time position typically requires a 40-hour work week with the flexibility to work from home 2 days per week. Our Boston office is located in Boston’s Downtown Crossing, adjacent to Boston Common, with easy access to major rapid transit lines and nearby rail stations. For more information, visit our website and follow us on LinkedIn, Instagram, or Facebook.RequirementsQualifications of a Senior Multimodal Engineer:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil/transportation engineeringProfessional engineering license (Massachusetts)10+ years of relevant experience developing preliminary and final design plans, specifications, estimates, and other engineering documents3+ years of experience in a consulting firm or similar setting, managing and delivering projects for public sector clients and pursuing and winning workExperience in Complete Streets and bicycle and pedestrian facility designFamiliarity with local engineering standards (MassDOT, City of Boston, AASHTO, NACTO, MUTCD, Highway Capacity Manual, Highway Safety Manual, ITE or related guidance)Interest in multimodal and active transportation design including Complete StreetsExperience on projects for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and the City of Boston and/or surrounding municipalitiesExperience preparing transportation and local agency permit documentsNice to have:Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, InRoads, Synchro, Highway Capacity Software, SIDRA, or VISSIMExperience with stormwater design software (e.g., HydroCAD or HydroFlow)Experience reviewing construction plans, supporting construction bidding, and overseeing construction operationsYou’ll be great here if:Strong leadership skills and enjoyment of working in multi-disciplinary teamsCommitment to producing high-quality work and seeing projects builtStrong communication skills (written, verbal, or graphical)Ability to build relationships, bring enthusiasm to projects, and be detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skillsPassion for sustainability and the opportunity to work on challenging multimodal projects that make communities more livable #J-18808-Ljbffr
