Overview U.S. Electrical Testing specializes in electrical acceptance testing, maintenance testing, and commissioning services for mission-critical facilities, secure environments, commercial and industrial clients, and electrical contractors. Capabilities include emergency response, engineering services, and turn-key installation and repair. Responsibilities Lead and perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and start-up of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, including breakers, transformers, switches, switchgear, relays, and motor control centers, in the field and in a shop environment. Understand sophisticated electrical distribution systems and use complex electrical test equipment. Contribute to a safe working environment and project success. Travel locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally as required. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years relevant electrical experience with HS Diploma/GED, or 4+ years with an associate’s degree, or 3+ years with a bachelor’s degree. Valid/active U.S. Work Authorization. Knowledge & Skills NETA / NICET certification (preferred) or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA standards. Ability to interpret electrical schematics and manuals. Proficiency with test equipment such as Doble, Omicron, Megger, Vanguard, and Fluke meters. Understanding of insulation resistance, power factor, contact resistance, and Hi-Pot testing. Knowledge of medium/high-voltage systems (up to 500kV) and arc flash hazard analysis. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose failures. Willingness to travel and work in various environments. Commitment to safety and compliance with protocols. Experience in testing and commissioning electrical power systems according to NETA standards. Ability to perform relay testing, calibration, and programming. Experience with circuit breaker and switchgear testing. Ability to troubleshoot faults and perform root cause analysis. Maintain detailed documentation. Collaborate with team members and clients. Mentor junior technicians. Preferred Qualifications OEM certified field service training.
