The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be collaborative, possess strong Electrical Engineering knowledge and experience, be enthusiastic about new challenges, and be able to communicate well with others. We have a desk waiting for you in our Denver, CO or San Diego, CA offices!ResponsibilitiesExecute electrical engineering activities with the objective of meeting the defined contractual scope to the relevant codes, standards, and company procedures.Perform engineering calculations, modeling, and design for utility scale PV & BESS projects.Stamp and issue drawings with support of Electrical Engineering Lead and Kleinfelder Individual Technical Reviewers.Analyze technical issues within the electrical engineering discipline.Develop project design criteria, design basis, and electrical specifications.Develop specific electrical systems, equipment, skid and module packages design criteria, sizing, and specifications.Perform detailed reviews of project electrical design specifications, design drawings, and standard detail drawings.Provide drafters with modifications to technical drawings and work plans according to engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for design team.Mentor professional staff.Assist in the development of work practices and procedures.Travel to field for project scoping, verification, construction support, and meeting with clients (10% or less).Attend project meetings and client pletion of other relevant duties as required.Experience & Academic RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent.Registered as Electrical PE in and able to obtain via reciprocity in other states.Minimum of 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering of renewable energy projects.Minimum of 2 years of utility-scale solar PV & BESS projects.Familiar with relevant electrical codes.Familiar with the development of BoDs, SLDs, DC Arc Flash, AC Arc Flash, Load Flow, Reactive Power, Short Circuit, Grounding, and Protection Coordination Studies.Proficiency with and ability to train professional staff in ETAP, CYMCAP, & CDEGS or similar power systems modeling softwares.Working knowledge of PVCASE, PVSyst, and AutoCAD design software and standards would be an asset.Proficiency in MS Office Suite programs used to create reports and petencies & SkillsTechnical leadership and strong ability to work in a collaborative anization and time management.Client service anizational awareness.Analytical thinker and high attention to detail.Strong problem-solving abilities.Excellent oral and written communication.Eagerness to provide technical mitment to risk and change management processes.Move Forward with KleinfelderKleinfelder has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon i ndividual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $102,249-$153,592.
