In this role, you will drive design decision-making across the company. You will collaborate with designers, engineers, and other researchers to collect and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data that will help the company make the best possible product for the customer. We invite qualified candidates to apply and help shape the future of user-centered technology!ResponsibilitiesWork with cross-functional stakeholders to define project requirements, formulate appropriate research questions, and select study methods.Design and execute user studies that combine data from quantitative measures of human performance with subjective experiences and feedback.Analyze data from these studies, identifying key takeaways and presenting results and product direction recommendations to stakeholders.Minimum qualificationsFamiliarity with quantitative and qualitative research methods and experience designing and executing human user studies.Proficient in analyzing quantitative data and an understanding of statistical analysis.Strong communication skills and an ability to clearly present ideas and defend results.Proficient in engaging with human research participants, eliciting their experiences, and actively listening to their feedback.Preferred qualificationsExperience working with sensors and/or prototype hardware.Experience with mechanical design, biomechanics, or other engineering disciplines.Experience with programming languages such as Matlab, Python, JMP, or R for data analysis and tool development.Education and experienceMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field.BS in Human Factors, Biomechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Psychology, Computer Graphics, Human-Computer Interaction, or a relevant area in consumer products industry.Engagement detailsType: ContractDuration: 8 monthsPay Rate: $68.00 - $83.00 (DOE)Seniority levelMid-Senior level #J-18808-Ljbffr
