OverviewCGS is seeking an experienced Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer to participate in architecture discussions, system reviews, design planning, and technology roadmap planning for current and future desktop integration efforts.Base pay range$116,480.00/yr - $158,080.00/yrEmployment Type: Full-Time, ExperiencedResponsibilitiesAct as the Subject Matter Expert for the development and implementation of the Desktop Operating System (OS) ImagesEngineer robust solutions for large-scale deployment of software using OS deployment technologies such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)Develop tests and implement software distribution packages for desktops, laptops, tablets, and serversProvide information and recommendations to meet various user-based software requirementsDemonstrate strong familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell and VBScriptImplement server OS deployment methodologies including automated server build processesSupport for an OS patching infrastructure (e.g., HCL BigFix or Windows Update/MECM) that applies mandatory security updatesAnalyze, evaluate, and recommend desktop, laptop, tablet, and server hardwarePerform security-related tasks including documentation, vulnerability scan review, assessment support, patch management, and auditing as requiredQualificationsExperience integrating and upgrading desktops and laptops from Windows 7 to Windows 10, upgrading Microsoft and third-party applications; experience with litigation software such as Ipro and ConcordanceAbility to work independently with minimal guidance; engineering a Windows 10 image on Intel-based systems integrated with Microsoft Exchange 2013, Microsoft Office 2013, and various third-party applicationsWindows OS engineering experienceUnderstanding of applying security controls to imagesMicrosoft Office engineering experienceIntegrating antivirus applications in an imageVPN/Remote access (Cisco Secure Access with RSA is a plus)Windows scripting experienceGood writing skillsPreferred/Ideally You will also haveVB and/or VBA coding experienceVDI/Citrix experienceSMS/SCCM experienceUnderstanding of PKIVMware experienceLitigating software such as Ipro and ConcordanceBenefitsHealth, Dental, and VisionLife Insurance401kFlexible Spending Account (Health, Dependent Care, and Commuter)Paid Time Off and Observance of State/Federal HolidaysAbout CGSContact Government Services (CGS) strives to simplify and enhance government bureaucracy through the optimization of human, technical, and financial resources.
